The buses that transport passengers from one fixed point to another are known as shuttle buses. Such buses usually travel for short distances; usually this distance can be covered within an hour. These are generally connected with different transport hubs. This kind of bus service is usually owned by private concerns. These shuttle buses cater to transit agencies, school and college campuses, churches, hotels, airports and many more.
1.Airport Shuttle Bus: These buses shuttle to or from or even within the airports. These buses are usually different from other shuttle busses because they are equipped with a large space to keep luggage. Within an airport these buses provide different services to the passengers with the discretion of the airport owner or any particular airline. Airside transfer is a service that transports passengers from the airport terminal’s arrival or departure gate to the aircraft. The buses that cater to airside transfer are usually larger than normal buses and have minimum seating arrangement so that they can carry large number of passengers. Then there are also buses that shuttle passengers between terminals that are located far away from each other.
